Blizzard Shifts Developers from Titan to the Diablo III Expansion

Blizzard Entertainment is shifting 70 developers from it's next-generation MMO Titan to other teams which include the Diablo III expansion. According to VentureBeat, Blizzard has stated that Titan needs more core development and that it will take at least another 3 years (2016) for the game to be complete.

Here is a statement from Blizzard about Titan:

We've always had a highly iterative development process, and the unannounced MMO is no exception. We've come to a point where we need to make some large design and technology changes to the game. We're using this opportunity to shift some of our resources to assist with other projects while the core team adapts our technology and tools to accommodate these new changes. Note that we haven't announced any dates for the MMO.

It looks like the Diablo III expansion may not be that far away now, and with all these new developers working on it, maybe it can be the next LoD? Guess we will have to wait and see at BlizzConn 2013. This year BlizzCon 2013 will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on November 8-9.
