Blizzard has commented on people claiming to be duping. Looks like it was all a hoax, with some bored trolls who wanted to rile people up. There is no evidence of duping other than some photoshoped screenshots.

We haven't deployed any hot fixes this evening. As far as we can tell the supposed exploit never worked, but we'll continue looking into it. Yes, changing the system clock can change auction times, but that doesnt dupe gold. It's pretty easy to see how much gold people have, and we have no indication anyone has/had that much.

Thousand of Accounts Banned
Today, Blizzard banned thousands of accounts in violation of the ToS.

We recently issued a round of account suspensions and bans to several thousand Diablo® III players who were in violation of the Battle.net® Terms of Use for cheating and/or using botting or hacking programs while playing. In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play that’s essential to everyone’s enjoyment of the game, botting, hacking, and other such exploitive behavior can contribute to stability and performance issues with the Battle.net service. As always, maintaining a stable, safe, and fun online-gaming experience for legitimate players is a top priority for us, and we'll be continuing to keep watch on Battle.net and take action as needed.

To help reduce server load and improve overall stability, we have temporarily disabled the auto-join functionality for General chat in all regions. Until further notice, if you wish to join General chat, you can type “/join General” into the chat window or click on the cogwheel in the upper left corner to access the Join Public Chat menu. We will provide another update whenever auto-join for General chat is turned back on for each region.
Please note that we will also be making a change with patch 1.0.3 so that if you leave General chat once, the game will remember this preference and you will not automatically join General chat again when logging in. While we don’t yet have a date to share for this patch, we anticipate that it will be released before the end of the month.
Option to Cancel Auction House Sales:
We're already planning to allow players the option to cancel their auctions at any point provided the auction doesn't have any active bids. This may not make patch 1.0.3, but it's definitely something we want to do.
